help us help our children
Lawyers In My City Is partnering with lawyers in Kentucky to address pressing questions anonymously asked by school students from sixth grade to college graduate students and their parents via our portal over the last two weeks. We invite you to be part of the solution and share your expertise.
Our students are in crisis. School shootings have left students and parents rattled. To say we are all on heightened awareness is an understatement. From middle school to college, students and parents are on alert. We must do something. Recently, a middle school student threatened a school in Frisco, Texas, and our investigation shows she and her family were absolutely shocked as to her punishment. They were completely oblivious to the possible punishment she faced. They are not alone. Our research shows most parents are not aware of the consequences of their students' actions. With the assistance of select lawyers like you, we will educate parents (who ultimately must hire lawyers to assist) and students regarding the consequences of their actions on and off campus. We see it over and over, students and parents have no clue what can happen until after the fact, we feel if they are informed, we can possibily prevent further tragedies. Education is key.

What happens if a student threatens a school or university? What happens if a student is seriously injured as a result of bullying? What happens if drugs are caught on a person on campus? To this end, we have created Legal Education for Students. If we can stop just one student from bullying, or stop making threats, or even think twice before proceeding with questionable behavior, then then this project will have succeeded.
